Normally globe valves are employed in locations where it is necessary to realize frequent operations of opening and closing, as well as flow control at graduation. Characterized by a global body form, they are manual valves that are more appropriate and used in flow control when it is necessary to regulate the flow or pressure of a fluid. They are used in vapor, gas, air, petroleum, water and natural gas in low or high pressure conditions.
They allow for a more efficient control of the fluid and suffer minimum wearing due to erosion, both at its base and the shutter. They offer an elevated high pressure drop due to the sudden change of direction imposed on the fluid.
